Start with the exact machine, not a freight estimate
Build a short purchase file containing the brand, complete model, serial number, manufacture-year evidence, country of manufacture, current location and proposed use. China is the dispatch location for our listings; it is not automatically the country of manufacture. Send this file to your destination customs broker before committing to a machine. A model name alone is not sufficient to establish classification or import eligibility.
Check destination requirements before payment
Ask your broker to confirm the tariff classification, used-equipment restrictions, required inspection or conformity documents, taxes and importer requirements for the actual machine. Buyers in India, Thailand, Vietnam, Turkey and Pakistan should use the rules for their own destination, not an example from another country. Turkey's Ministry of Trade maintains a dedicated used-goods import page; its existence is a reason to check the applicable permission process, not a promise that a particular machine will be admitted. This guide does not quote duty rates, age limits or permit exemptions.
Define what the quotation includes
Request a written quotation identifying the exact unit, currency, accessories, condition disclosures and agreed delivery term with a named place. Separate the machine price from dismantling, packing, inland transport, freight, insurance and destination charges. Ask who supplies each document and who is responsible for each stage. Compare quotations on the same scope rather than comparing the headline price alone.
Agree acceptance and shipment evidence
Agree the inspection scope, test evidence and resolution of discrepancies before shipment. Keep nameplate photos, current videos, the included-equipment list and the inspection record together. Ask the packing provider for a package-by-package list of dimensions, weights and lifting information. Your freight forwarder should approve the loading plan for the actual cargo. Before dispatch, reconcile the commercial invoice, packing list and transport instructions with the purchased unit.
